The last thing Christiane wanted was to have an argument with @val, even though she could easily take her on and win. She knew exactly what the rumours were. Clearly some of the minds hadn't been wiped well enough so everyone seemed to know about the fact that she had killed somebody. Come to think of it, the boy she had strangled had been in Val's year. Maybe she had known him.... "Rumours get so out of hand sometimes." She whispered, trying not to look to sketchy. "What did the stories say? I'm just interested in what people have been saying about me..." She trailed off and stared out of the window for a few seconds.
"He's got a group of friends that he sticks to. He doesn't really talk to anybody else." She shrugged, showing no real interest in her brother apart from her clear discomfort and anxiety when talking about him, as if he might enter the room at any moment and start yelling at her. "I'm not really much of a talker. Sebastian says that it's better if I just stay quiet." She mumbled, playing with a strand of her hair as she spoke.
She listened to what the girl had to say about the classes, but it really just confused her more. She shrugged again and turned her head back up to look at Val. "I'll have to ask my brother." She replied vaguely. She couldn't really make decisions for herself in fear that it would be the wrong thing. So she would always check things with her brother. When Val suggested that she should go and clear her head by the river, she immediately shook her head. "I don't really like fresh air." She stated tensely. She couldn't go outside for very long. Not without proper protection anyway. She'd burn.
