Raven was wandering again. She had done this many a time, getting up in the middle of the night, and just wandering the halls. Back when she lived in the Home she got very bored because after a few nights she knew the whole place back to front, but not Hogwarts. There was always some new place to discover. During her first year she had investigated all the towers, and she had worked her way down from there.
Now she was in the dungeon. padding silently along, barefoot on the cold stone. It was like a maze down here, so that she wouldn't get lost she was dragging an invisible pen along the wall, with a UV light on a chain around her neck on a silver chain.
She was day dreaming as she turned a corner and began down another corridor. Then she stopped. Her pen had caught on something. Curious, she walked close to the wall and slowly traced her finger along the wall, until she snagged it on something. A simple, yet effective, cloaking charm. Whatever this was, was spelled to look like the wall. The use of magic only made Raven more curious, she tried pushing, and when that didn't work at felt all around the charmed wall until she found something else, it was solid, round and cold. Raven took hold of it, twisted and pushed. She fell through the door into a room that was pitch black.
In slight terror and utter confusion, Raven used the UV around her neck to light up the room with an eerie blue light. This creeper Raven out so she produced her wand which she kept tucked into the waistband of her marvel pyjamas and uttered "lumos!" at which her wand erupted into light, she began to look around the room and quickly found several torches which she lit. Soon the room was bathed in golden light.
This gave her a chance to look around the room, it was amazing, it had a sofa and a couple of comfy looking armchairs, and tables. But that wasn't what was fascinating Raven, it was the room itself. It was made completely of glass. She walked closer to the wall, and gently tapped in the glass. With that some creature darted past, hissing, this caused Raven to jump back and scream slightly, which she quickly stifled in case Filch was around.
Raven soon realised that the room was underwater! Probably the Black Lake she guessed. When she looked closer she could see fish bobbing about outside, and some other silhouettes which Raven tried to put out of her mind. She took a seat in one of the armchairs, which were as comfy as they looked and gazed out into the darkness of the lake beyond.
