The faint popping noise of an accomplished Apparator were the only thing announcing the little man's arrival, who materialized out of thin air in a cloud of silvery smoke only a couple of feet away from the black haired Auror - right in front of him. There was a flash of green light, and Dedalus, who had been aware of the attack thanks to a warning sent to him by Mad-Eye and thus looked quite tense upon entering the premises, jumped and screamed in surprise, his top hat toppled off his head - and before he could do anything, the Killing Curse sent by Mr. Kro headed straight for him. Dedalus's eyes was wide, filled with fear. This was it, he was going to die - but he didn't. The killing curse flew straight over his head, towards someone standing behind him. Dedalus breathed a sigh of relief, pulled up a handkerchief from a pocket on his waistcoat and wiped some sweat from his forehead before he bent down and picked up the hat. Well, maybe being small in stature was not always a bad thing after all. He hurried out of the line of fire and saw a redheaded woman lying on the floor near a statue - And then he recognized her; No, do not be dead, Molly, do not be dead! He hurried closer and stared with terrified eyes - oh, thank goodness, she's just hiding from someone. He moved his eyes towards @baddockfather, who stood with his raised wand aloft not far from where he himself stood. Deciding that this chap probably were the man attacking his friend, he pulled out his own wand before ran over to Molly, threw himself forward - and joined in on the hiding.
"Molly, are you okay?"
The question might have sounded rather silly, but it was well meant at least. He took off his hat and put in on the floor, safe-guarded by the statue. No reason to go ruining one of his most beloved possessions, now was there?
"Where's Arthur?"
