He was not in knowledge at that time of the battle, his mother never had kept any newspapers. His mother hated to see anything bad going on in the wizarding world. After the battle of Hogwarts, a friend of his had told him the news and he was heart broken.
History: Carter was the second born child of Martha and Carter Kinney Jr., both being magical parents. He was given his letter at the age of 11, he was excited, as his parents had always told him their adventures at hogwarts. Later, durring his second year, his parents split up and his custody was given to his mother. After the split, he had always put the blame on himself as the problem. This made him always stay indoors, unless he had a class outside to go to, and read. He was never a sociable child until a Professor had asked him to stay after class to talk.
After that, Carter made many friends with everyone at Hogwarts, all varing in houses, In his fourth year at Hogwarts, he met his best friend to this day, in DADA. It was an all houses lesson and they had sat right next to eachother. They both studied with eachother and played wizards chess in their freetime. In his last year at Hogwarts, he realized he wanted to become a professor at Hogwarts.
