Personality: Tate has a very mixed personality. He can be very tense and serious at one moment, but can be calm the next. He supposed it depended on who he was around. He prefers to let other people do the talking for him, but used to act out a lot before he met his boyfriend, Lukas. History: For as long as Tate could remember, he has lived in Wool's Orphanage, a home for children and teenagers who had no relatives that could look after them. He was born on the first of January 1980, and was left on the doorstep of the Orphanage on the 2nd. He has been told that his mother was called Amelia, and his father, Jeremiah. He had his mothers eyes and his father's temper. Apart from that, and a necklace with his name on it that was given to him the day he was born, he has nothing to go off.
He got his letter for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, something that the people who ran the Orphanage were used too, as it seemed that there was always at least one wizard that had been dumped there.
He attended Hogwarts for the first time in 1991, and it was that year that he meant his future boyfriend. Lukas. He and Lukas were best friends since day one as they both helped each other through everything. They complimented each other's strengths and helped with each other weaknesses. Lukas was one of the only people he trusted, proving this by confiding in him about being an orphan, as well as being dyslexic. He had been worried that something like that would end their friendship, but Lukas stuck by him and Tate was grateful.
During his school years, Tate had lashed out at a lot of people, blaming his upbringing for his faults. But Lukas helped him to calm down and not blame other people for things that couldn't be helped. Lukas became his rock, the only person who could make an impression on him. Maybe it was because he had grown up without being shown any loved. The workers at the Orphanage tried their best, but they were impatient and couldn't keep track of every child that they had over the years, so Tate just slipped under the radar.

In his sixth year, Lukas told him that he had developed a crush for him, and Tate was able to figure out his own feelings towards his best friend. He hadn't realised that he had been gay, but knew that he hadn't been interested in dating girls, and had been jealous when Lukas had dated a Ravenclaw during his fourth year.
He has been dating Lukas ever since that day, and although they have their difference, and argue over various things, he knows that his boyfriend is always there for him, and that they can go to each other with anything. Some of the kids at the Orphanage are judgemental of his sexuality, but he brushes it off, though has never wanted Lukas to come to his 'home' as it isn't seen as a pleasant place to be brought up.
