Still, as she started showing signs of magic, her parents let nannies take care of getting her supplies and other things for school. She was sorted into Ravenclaw thanks to her love of learning and reading.
Amelia felt freer at school than she did at home, and it was easy for her to make friends quickly. She was fairly independent, her parents not really interested in her schooling. However, when she met a muggle boy named Jeremiah, they cared then. Amelia fell in love with the man fairly quickly, and when she graduated she moved in with him and his parents at 18, and became pregnant in 1979 as well, and she and Jeremiah married that year. Her parents, who had not bothered to raise her, disapproved openly, but she refused to give her child up when they demanded it. Tate was born in his father's parent's home, and he was loved by all of them. When he disappeared from his bassinet the next day, Amelia and her husband went into a panic, and she confronted her parents, who admitted they took the boy to an orphanage, but refused to say where he was. Amelia walked out of her childhood home for the last time.
Amelia and Jeremiah had given Tate a necklace with his name as his first possession, and she was determined to find her son. She's started to contact Wool's Orphanage to see if he was there, and they confirmed that he was living there. When she asked where he's attending school and they said Hogwarts, she knew. Her son is alive, and she's determined to get him back. Whether he'll forgive her is her only worry.
