Name:Glen Everett
Date of Birth:April 30, 1980
Age: 17
Occupation: Student
Appearance-
Height:6'1
Hair:Black, shortish and slightly wavy, unkempt
Eyes: Large, circular, very very dark
Overall Appearance:Glen is a rather imposing character, and his general appearance may lead to a foreboding sense about him, as his height and eyes may give off an intimidating stance. He has a very smooth but sharp jawline, recessed cheeks and high cheekbones that give his face a very angular visage. He has decently broad shoulders, a very lean midriff, and rather long, shapely legs for a man. He has terrible posture, and rarely ever rises to his full height unless at attention or intentionally trying to put someone off. As of the beginning of the year, Glen has no left arm, with only a small nub in its place.
Personality: Glen is a somewhat eccentric character, or at least puts on the air that he is. This is only compounded by his affinity for divination. Occasionally fickle, he has strange priorities concerning dealing with people, and oftentimes can be outright difficult to talk to for no other reason than he finds amusement in turning others' words around. Underneath this, he can be cunning, manipulative, secretive, and investigative. Glen has a tendency to behave in two modes: one mode is forward, instigative, inspiring, and generally driven. The other is quiet, patient, perceptive, stealthy, and subtle. He waits in the shadows, creating situations, and strikes when the iron is hot.
Likes: Intelligent debate, confusing others, sleep, oranges
Dislikes: Being boring, quitters, accusations against him, oranges
Strengths: Divination, Curses/Hexes/Jinxes, Interpersonal communication
Weaknesses: Non-interactive courses, anything requiring two hands, Transfiguration
History: Glen grew up in a pureblooded household, with a hard-mannered father and tight-lipped mother, leaving him very uncared for during the majority of his upbringing. His missing left arm was a defect of birth, something he had been shamed for since the beginning. His most positive relationship for the better part of his life was his brother, who involved himself greatly in Glen's life to show him the ropes, despite only being three years older than him. Saxon was actually sorted into Gryffindor when he went to school at Hogwarts, much to the chagrin of their parents, which in turn nurtured the relationship between him and Glen, being that Glen couldn't care less about houses and whatnot. When the time came for Glen to be sorted, his outcome drastically improved his relationship with his parents in spite of their overall distaste for the younger child. In his third year, Glen discovered his talent for Divination (likely inherited from his mother's side, who occasionally produced seers of genuine quality), and would occasionally have prophetic dreams in his sleep. It was around this time that Glen and his mother spoke on one of the most important issues as of this time period; Glen was actually the product of an affair, effectively making him a halfblood. Only his mother, he, and his biological father knew this damning secret, and this key piece of information has drastically changed how Glen perceives those with muggle parentage. Toward the end of Glen's fifth year, one year after his brother Saxon left to pursue his career as a magical biologist, he was killed while confronting a manticore. The idea of death had a profound effect on Glen, and of the very few issues that bother him, actively thinking on his late brother and the sudden nature of his death is one of the only thoughts that can subdue him with grief. Understanding the terse situation many muggleborns are now in and relating it to losing his brother is what drives him to truly contribute to the cause, and leads him to hold such a strong stance against the Death Eaters.
Family: Tracy Everett - Surrogate Father(42), Wisteria Everett - Mother(39), Saxon Everett - Brother(20, deceased), Zarmasel Armentrout - Great Grandfather(90), Paul Abbot - Biological Father(40), all others deceased and impertinent
