Name: Draco Lucius Malfoy
Date of Birth: 5 June, 1980
Age: 17
Occupation: Student/Junior Death Eater
Appearance-
Height: 5’8”
Hair: Sleek and white-blonde
Eyes: Grey
Overall Appearance: Draco Malfoy has oft been described as a ferret, and for the early year of his life, this was an apt description. His pointed features and pale skin bring to mind a rat or a ferret, and his walk is that of a privileged swagger. In later year, Draco grew into his looks, causing him to be haughtily good-looking. He inherited his mother’s upturned nose and thin lips, and his father’s blonde hair, which he wears short and slicked back. There have often been comparisons of appearance between Draco and Lucius, as Draco takes after him a lot. Whilst at school, Draco wears his Slytherin school uniform, with a green theme running throughout. Out of school he prefers traditional wizarding garb, which is far more formal than muggle wear, like a black suit with a robe.
Personality: Draco Malfoy is one of the most narcissistic, arrogant and spiteful bullies to ever plague Hogwarts. He acts incredibly privileged, certain of his father’s power. “My father will hear about this,” is one of his favourite lines, and just goes to prove how self-assured he is of his father’s influence. He grew up in a wealthy family, leading to a disregard for money and items, as anything he broke throughout his childhood was replaced, leading to his spoilt attitude. He is extremely prejudiced, believing those of so-called ‘pure blood’ to be better than muggleborns, and he uses the slur ‘mudblood’ commonly. But he is cunning and deceitful, leading to a talent for lying and survival. This, coupled with the favouritism of Severus Snape, meant he could get away with anything. He felt very little remorse for any of his actions, only acting for his own self-gain.
Likes: Draco enjoys tormenting the Golden Trio and getting a rise from Harry Potter. He also enjoys seeing the stupid look on his face when Harry realises that Snape was standing behind them the whole time, and he’s about to lose a whole lot of House points. Draco likes spending time with his mother, and spending money. So ideally: a shopping trip with his mother.
Dislikes: Draco dislikes getting beaten by Hermione, both academically and physically. He doesn’t believe a ‘mudblood’ she be better than him. He hates it was House Elves misbehave and he’s ‘forced’ to punish them, or when he is embarrassed, usually by Harry Potter.
Strengths: Draco has a talent for being sneaky and cunning, leading to his placement in Slytherin. He is extremely gifted magically, providing a worthy foil for Harry in his school year. He has a lot of knowledge about the Wizarding World, having grown up in it. He, along with his whole family, have a knack for survival.
Weaknesses: Due to his prejudice, Draco has difficulties seeing past his own beliefs and opinions. His arrogance, coupled with a weakness of character, leads him to be lead to ruin by Lord Voldemort. He is an unpleasant person, meaning he has very few friends outside of Purebloods.
History: Draco was raised in the Malfoy Manor by his parents in a spoilt childhood, leading to a brattish personality. On the train to Hogwarts in his first year he encountered Harry Potter. Draco offered The Boy Who Lived his friendship, but it was rejected, leading to a long-term rivalry between the pair and, by association, the Golden Trio. This rivalry was not helped by the fact that the Malfoys had been Death Eaters, servants of the man who murdered Harry’s parents, although Lucius claimed Imperio and was let off.
Draco spent the next four years attempting to thwart the Trio’s plans and just being a general nuisance, which eventually led to Hermione punching him in third year. In fourth year, he was turned into a ferret by ‘Mad-Eye Moody’, earning him the nickname ‘The Amazing Bouncing Ferret’. When Voldemort was reborn, the Malfoys re-joined him, despite Voldemort’s anger at the fact that they didn’t go to Azkaban for him.
In fifth year, Draco became a prefect along with Pansy Parkinson, and later a member of the Inquisitorial Squad, a group formed by Delores Umbridge to keep the students under control. He enjoyed the power, and was later amongst the members of the IS to capture the key DA members, but were given the slip by Ginny, Luna, Ron and Neville. Draco’s father was spotted fighting amongst the Death Eaters in the Ministry battle and sent to Azkaban, to Draco’s distress.
In sixth year, Draco replaced his father in the Death Eaters, and was given a mission: to kill Albus Dumbledore. Severus Snape took an Unbreakable Vow with his mother to aid him in this, no matter the cost. Throughout the year, Draco failed to complete his task, attempting a cursed necklace which injured Katie Bell and a poisoned beverage which poisoned Ronald Weasley. The pressure clearly got to him, as his health and grades began to rapidly decrease. Throughout the year he’d been trying to fix a Vanishing Cabinet. He did, and used it to smuggle Death Eaters in to assist him in killing Dumbledore. He and his Death Eaters confronted Dumbledore on the top of the Astronomy Tower, where Harry Potter lay body-bound under an Invisibility Cloak. When Draco was unable to kill the Headmaster, Snape stepped in and completed the task. Snape led him off the grounds and they apparated away, as Draco was now a known accomplice in Albus Dumbledore’s murder.
