Eyes: icy blue/ grey eyes
Height: 1.78m
Overall Appearence: Mad has very pale features, pale unblemished skin, pale pink lips, icy buleish grey eyes with dark silvery eye shadow and on fleek eyebrows. She has a strong jawline and wavy curls of blonde hair that reaches just past her shoulders, sometimes she French plaits the front top part to the right to keep it out her eyes. She wears a lot of leather jackets and dark colours and her nails are either plain or black also jeans rather than skirts. She will be seen wearing either combat boots, heeled boots or occasionally black pumps. When around those that she feels threatened by or just doesn’t like she wears a steely mask (metaphorical) to hide her emotions from them in fear that they may use her feelings against her, when around those she likes and is comfortable around she will let go of this mask and those who are her few friends will see that she is very nice underneath and that she has a wonderful smile.
Likes: People who cut the bulls**t, blades, shiny, shiny blades and knives and other weapons, her hair, she loves her hair and god forbid it ever fall out!
Dislikes: People who constantly whine, people who muck her around when she is trying to get information, goody-goody-two-shoes who are absolutely insufferable
Strengths: Mad is able to emotionally detach herself from a situation, she has mad martial arts skills (if you’ll excuse the pun!) extremely good with weapons, sharp reactions, sarcasm level is like infinite, wit is top, wide vocabulary, very clever.
Weaknesses: Mads ability to emotionally detach herself is both a strength and a weakness because sometimes she struggles to re-attach herself, she struggles to make friends with people and is constantly suspicious of strangers. Also she is lactose intolerant and can’t eat any kind of dairy without nearly dying!(imagine that, an amazing warrior beaten by a bit of cheese!)
Overall Personality: Mad is a sharp and witty character when she wants to be, but get on her bad side and she can be extremely spiteful and has some very cutting comments that she can make, about just about anyone. However once you get past her hard exterior she is funny and clever, she is a scheming soul who had a hard life before coming to Hogwarts where her survival instinct and need for power status drove her to rise up in her houses hierarchy, though she could never be top because of her unknown blood status and it frustrates her that she cannot gain more status and authority over her peers even though she could totally kick their asses. She is power hungry and strives for greatness.

History: Madaphic Dare was born on the 9 of March at 2:03 in the morning to Mary Aileen and Stan Dare in Toronto, Canada when she was 2 years old they moved to London, where they lived for 6 years in a little flat that fitted the three of them perfectly. Mary and Stan had thought about having more children but they both worked full time in the Muggle world so they decided against it and they lived happily. But not for long! In the fall of 1990 the Dares were in the park for a family outing and night was drawing in, Madaphic was climbing a great oak tree when three assailants grabbed her parents, they yelled something at them before the one who appeared to be the leader drew out a knife and plunged it into Stan’s stomach 18 times before he fell to the ground… dead. The masked man then turned to Mary Dare, leaned in and whispered something in her ear before stabbing her repeatedly and letting her fall to the ground. All this time Mad had been watching from above as she hid in the branches of the great oak tree. Once they had left Mad quickly jumped down and ran to her mother whose breathing was becoming staggered, Madaphic tried to put pressure on the wound but that made her mother gasp with pain so she stopped and her mother grabbed her shoulder and pulled her closer “Madaphic” she spluttered blood rising in her throat “there is something that your father and I wanted… NEEDED to tell you, we wanted to wait but now there is no time… Madaphic… you… are…” She never heard the end of her mother’s sentence. Having just lost both of her parent and being only 8 years old Mad let out a blood curdling scream. Then she heard shouts, traumatized and terrified that it was the masked men returning she ran out into the night. Alone.
For the next 3 years Madaphic Dare lived on the streets of London, stealing, begging and starving, she would spend nights in abandoned buildings with other street kids’ huddles around small fires in attempts to keep warm and in the days they would fight to the death for a scrap of meat. On the 9th of March 1993 Mad woke up to find a black owl perched next to her with a letter in its beak, at first she jumped back in fear, but then the owl simply dropped the letter and flew away. Wary and confused Mad picked up the letter the envelope read,

She ripped it open with her grubby darkened hand and pulled out the pale parchment, after having read the letter and spent an hour not believing word of it she decided to go to that part of town and see if it was true or just a hoax, once she found the leaky cauldron and finally after trial and error she discovered the route into Diagon Ally she followed the instructions to go to Gringots and give them a key to the ‘Orphan Fund’ that was in the envelope, the freaky goblin things gave her enough money to buy all she needed and 25 Galleons for the years spending money. Once one the train she quickly made friends with others who thought in a similar way to her, once at Hogwarts she was sorted into her house. She quickly settled in and she stayed at Hogwarts for the holidays and in the summer she went and stayed with her street friends before returning to school, she is now in her 5th year at Hogwarts and is well adjusted. Though she has never truly gotten over that night in the park and she has nightmares about what her mother’s final words were going to be.
