Personality: Melissa is very kind and thoughtful, with a compassionate personality and a fierce determination to do what is right. She is quiet and does not like to show her emotions, but doesn't seem to have a good grip on them. She is firm in her morals and is quick to defend what she believes in. She is nice to everyone and will only be mean or cruel when she is absolutely sure that the person deserves it. History: Having been born a squib into a pureblood supremacist household, Melissa did not exactly have a happy childhood. She was shoved to the side, ridiculed and neglected, often finding that her only friend was Poppy, the house-elf. Her parents, to get her out of public eye, moved her to a small country town to live alone when she was young.When she turned 16, Melissa got pregnant and delivered a daughter, she shuddered at the thought of her parents raising her daughter, so, after a lot of thinking, she gave Sydney up to an orphanage to give her a chance at a better life.
Melissa went through Muggle college and became a nurse, much to her parents' indifference. After many years of keeping it a secret, she finally let slip the secret that she had a daughter to her parents, after much fighting and screaming, the search for Sydney began. Melissa searched all of Britain for her daughter, but couldn't find her, and after many fruitless years, she gave up. She never married or had any other children, though that doesn't mean she is adverse to it, clinging to the hope that she would meet her daughter, someday.
