Overall Appearance: Severus is rather tall standing around 6 ft, he has long greasy black hair, dark cold eyes, and a large hooked nose. He is of rather scrawny build, and can usually be seen strolling around the castle looking much like an over-sized bat in his overlarge black robes.
Personality: He tends to be cruel and unnecessarily harsh to students. although he favors his Slytherins. He is quick to catch someone in a lie, possibly due to his proficiency at Legilimency and Occlumency. His only true loyalty is to himself as he served both the Order of the Phoenix and Lord Voldemort until it became clear to him that being in the order would no longer be of importance. He has no regard for the well-being of others, and he is all around unpleasant.

History: Severus was raised in a muggle neighborhood called spinner's end, where he lives next to Lily and Petunia Evans. He and Lily grew very close and they started school together where he met his enemy James Potter. He was quite advanced, even at a young age. He was a proficient potioneer, and he created spells and jinxes which he often scribbled in his potions book.
Once he left school, he joined the ranks of Lord Voldemort. One night, upon hearing a prophecy in a tavern, he rushed to Voldemort with the info. It was this info that caused the deaths of the Potters, and the initial downfall of Voldemort.
Once Voldemort regained power, Snape returned to him, presumably under Dumbledore's orders. He was able to remain a trusted spy for the Dark Lord while Dumbledore thought he was on the side of the Order. One night, as Harry and Dumbledore returned from some outing, Snape took the Headmaster's life and fled with a group of other death eaters. It was at that time, that he showed his true loyalty to his master and his true colors to the world
